Dr. Wayne Woods was born and raised in Kirbyville, Texas. He attended the University of Houston where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then followed his childhood dream of becoming a dentist and attended Baylor College of Dentistry where he received his Degree in Dentistry. Dr. Woods remained at Baylor College of Dentistry for 12 years as a highly respected Clinical Instructor in the Department of Restorative Sciences, and was later promoted to an Associate Professor position. During his tenure at Baylor, he was honored to receive the “Teacher of the Year” award which is chosen by the students. While teaching at Baylor, he also maintained a private practice in restorative dentistry. In 2003, Dr. Woods returned to Baylor College of Dentistry to specialize in Orthodontics, and received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 2005. Since specializing, he has been practicing Orthodontics in Dallas for over 11 years.
In addition to his passion for Orthodontics, Dr. Woods devotes his time and talents serving in numerous positions of leadership within the Dallas County Dental Society and serves on the Board of the Dallas County Dental Society Foundation. He has held many offices and received many awards and honors within this organization including: Dallas County Dental Society President, New Dentist of the Year Award, Presidential Award and Dentist of the Year Award.
While away from the office, he and his wife enjoy trying to keep up with their 3 children: Julia, Hudson and Hampton.
