Dr. Ashley DeMarco was born and raised in Houston, where she attended Mirabeau B. Lamar High School. During high school, Dr. DeMarco was involved in many student organizations and spent her weekends sailing, with a team, in the Kemah Bay area. After graduating in the Top 5% of her high school class, Dr. DeMarco went on to what many consider the most spirited school in the world; Texas A&M University in College Station Texas. While Attending Texas A&M University Dr.DeMarco was extremely busy in student life organizations including being a fish camp counselor, a resident advisor, and a Member of Kappa Delta sorority. She did all of this, and managed to keep a suma cumlade standing in her Academic studies. After attending Texas A&M, Dr. DeMarco continued her studies at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas Texas. Dr. DeMarco was an active member of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, Voted class representative of student council, and was Vice president of external affairs for the American student dental association. Dr. DeMarco Graduated from Baylor college of Dentistry with special recognition in Public Health Dentistry, and awards from the Department of Oral surgery in oralmaxilofacial pain management. Dr. DeMarco strives for the best quality dental care, and aims to make every appointment the best dental experience her patients have ever had.
Dr. Victor Ticas III has lived a majority of his life in Houston, TX and attended Mirabeau B. Lamar High School where he played baseball his freshman year and lettered in soccer the remaining three years of high school. As a senior he was awarded First Team All District Defender and Gatorade player of the year. Dr. Ticas then accepted an academic scholarship to attend the University of St. Thomas where he graduated with a BA in Biology and a minor in Theology while being a part of the Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society. His senior year of college, Dr. Ticas was able to join the universities first ever NAIA college soccer team. He battled and won a starting position and graduated as the first ever soccer alumni and once again was awarded NAIA Player of the year. Craig Biggio, former second baseman of the Houston Astros, presented this award. Following undergrad, Dr. Ticas furthered his education by attending Baylor College of Dentistry where he graduated amongst the top of his class. Dr. Ticas strives to treat each patient with empathy and understanding, and to ensure that each patient’s visit is a pleasant one.
Dr. Sandy Rodriguez is of Cuban descent. She has spent most of her life in Sugar Land, TX, where she attended William P. Clements High School. Throughout high school, she was involved in Zen Do Kai Karate, salsa dancing, and was president of the Spanish Honor Society. After graduating high school, Dr. Rodriguez earned a BA in Spanish and a minor in Biology from the University of Houston. Go Coogs! She was very involved in the American Student Dental Association, and dedicated her time to volunteering and working as a part-time dental assistant. After graduating from UH, Dr. Rodriguez went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio to further her knowledge and experience in the field of dentistry. After earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Dental Lab Sciences, she was accepted into the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. Dr. Rodriguez was very involved in student activities, including holding an officer position on the student council and the Hispanic Student Dental Association, as well as serving as President of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, Delta Psi chapter. In her free time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys traveling, Zumba classes, and spending time with family and friends. She aims to make her patients feel welcome, diminish their fears, and make them proud of their smile.
Dr. Charisse Colbert was born and raised in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Dr. Colbert has received an Associate of Arts degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Southern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Howard University. Working in the medical field as a Physical Therapist exposed Dr. Colbert to patients with Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction (jaw dysfunction) thus piquing an interest in the dentistry. This interest led to a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston.Dr. Colbert has been practicing dentistry since 1993. Dr. Colbert is committed to keeping up with the ever changing advances in dentistry through continuing education courses. She has had extensive training and experience in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr.Colbert has completed Mini-Residency program at the prestigious Esthetic Professionals in California. She has advanced training in screening and treatment of Sleep Apnea patients.
Dr. Andrew Cummings was born in Denver, but raised on the gulf coast of Florida. He first became interested in dentistry at a young age after getting braces in middle school. As his smile transformed, he learned first hand the impact a great smile can provide. He strives to provide this service and make each patient walk out happier than when they came in. Dr. Cummings attended the University of Central Florida where he received degrees in both Finance and Microbiology. While attending UCF, Dr. Cummings was an active member of the Alpha Tau Omega leadership fraternity. Between his undergraduate and dental school careers, Dr. Cummings worked for an organ donation company where he worked alongside researchers, engineers, and doctors towards the advancement of medicine. His experience in the industry afforded him the opportunity to spend the bulk of his time traveling all over the country and to Europe. Dr. Cummings then attended dental school at the University of the Pacific in beautiful San Francisco. Dr. Cummings graduated from dental school receiving awards for leadership and aesthetic dentistry. During dental school, he served as both President and Vice President of his school’s American Student Dental Association leading his team to receive national award winning recognition. Outside of the office, Dr. Cummings enjoys golf, health and fitness, riding his motorcycle, cooking, and traveling.
Dr. Hector Trevino was raised in South Padre Island, Texas. Due to an early interest in the dental field, he attended the South Texas High School for Health Professions. Having enjoyed his experience rotating through dental offices in high school, Dr. Trevino went on to study Pre-dental Biology at the University of Texas Pan American and graduated in three years. He then attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine and met his wife, Allie. After experiencing four years of sub-zero winters, Dr. Trevino is excited to return to Texas. In his spare time he enjoys reading, playing ukulele and going to the beach, presumably the effects of growing up on an island.
Dr. Brian Anyanwu received his undergraduate degree from Prairie View A&M University and went on tocomplete his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Anyanwu fell in love with the field of dentistry because it combined many aspects he was interested in finding in a career: service, science, arts, and the ability to pursue a career using his hands. Patient satisfaction is what keeps Dr. Anyanwu motivated and excited about being a dentist. There is no better reward than a happy, smiling patient after treatment is complete! Dr. Anyanwu enjoys serving the community, not only as a dentist but as a resident! Being close to what is going on in the community helps Dr. Anyanwu understand patients and where they are coming from much better. Outside of the office you’ll find Dr. Anyanwu outside playing flag football, basketball or kickball. He loves live music and seeing shows at the theatre!
