Dr. Al Azzawiobtained his dental degree from the University of Baghdad/ College of Dentistry in 2000. He then pursued his first Master's degree in Laser Dentistry from the same university. Subsequently, he completed his PhD and received his first specialty training in Orthodontics from the highly regarded Universality of Science Malaysia, which is ranked among the top Malaysian universities.
Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Al Azzawi pursued his second specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He also obtained his second Master's degree in Health Professionals Education from the prestigious University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health and Warner School of Education.
With over 18 years of experience in providing dental and orthodontic care, Dr. Al Azzawi has also spent several years in academia. He has received multiple awards for his extensive scientific research in various fields such as dentistry, orthodontics, lasers in dentistry, cell culturing, molecular biology, and genetics. His research findings have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the United States and internationally.
Dr. Al Azzawi is happily married to Dr. Sarah, an exceptional pediatric dentist, and they have two wonderful boys. When he's not working at the clinic, Dr. Al Azzawi loves spending quality time with his family, engaging in activities like kayaking, camping, hiking, and exploring the beautiful state of Texas and beyond.
Licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Dr. Al Azzawi is an esteemed member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO). The AAO recognizes him as a recommended Orthodontist for the Beaumont, TX area.
